SLAYMAKER 1851/1926 Holton /Headington

Notes: I was a SLAYMAKER before marriage. My grandfather was Edward SLAYMAKER, b. 1849, father Thomas, mother Martha. I'd like to know about the stone pit were my great grandfather worked. Edward was in the police and he married Ellen TIPPING, but it seems as if about 1775 he left Oxford some time after he married my Nan. Ellen had a son, Reginald D. TIPPING, but when granddad married Ellen he gave the boy his name, which he used all his life.
