Notes: Jonathan English born 1832, became a steeple race jockey and groom, working for some years in France. His Father Thomas English is described as a college servant then a veterinary surgeon in various records. Jonathan and his family eventually settled in the London area, mainly Camberwell where there descendants can be found for the next 100 years or so.
