Notes: The TAYLOR family I am interested in is believed to have moved to Stow on the Wold in Gloucestershire in the late 1700s or very early 1800s. Two generations of TAYLORS were stonemasons in Stow on the Wold so perhaps the family were also stonemasons in Burford. The man who moved to Stow was Robert TAYLOR and his children included William, Thomas and Robert. His wife's name may have been Mary. These names have persisted in the family for several generations. Robert TAYLOR (junior) migrated from Stow to Sydney, Australia in 1837.
