FREEMAN <1778 Thame, Rotherfield Peppard & Henley
STONE Any Henley

Notes: My ancestor Simon FREEMAN was b.c.1720 & m. Mary BOURN 29.9.1742, Thame [Oxfordshire Marriage Index - Husbands [1538-1837]FREEMAN Simon at Thame to BOURN Mary from Tring 1742 29 Sep]. I have deaths for Simon FREEMAN as 1778 Rotherfield Peppard & for Mary FREEMAN [BOURN] 1765 Rotherfield Peppard but I cannot find my sources for the deaths! I have the bapts. of 3 children in Rotherfield Peppard between 1743 & 1747 [Sarah, 1743, Susanna, 1745, & Mary, 1747] & 5 children in St Mary, Henley btw. 1748 - 1758 [Rose, 1748, Thomas, 1751, Elizabeth, 1753, John, 1756, & Wright, 1758] My ancestor from their children is Susanna FREEMAN [bapt. 4.8.1745 Rotherfield Peppard] m. John STONE 21.4.1771 St Mary Henley. I have no further information on any of her siblings. I would love to hear from anyone who is connected to this family or can help with further information. I used to live in Maidenhead, Berks - not so far from Henley, where I used to Morris dance on occasions! I have lived in Victoria, Australia since 1994, which makes research that more difficult. My ancestor James STONE, b. 1776, who is descended from Susanna FREEMAN & John STONE, moved to & married in Ewell Surrey, ending my direct association with Oxfordshire. I would, however, value any further information on, or connection to my FREEMAN family in Oxfordshire. Thanks Lyn Nash
