Notes: I'm currently living in Oxford from Melbourne, Australia researching two interesting branches of my family tree - the Musgroves and the Marshalls. The Musgroves appear, in the main, to be a family of college servants (cooks and butlers), whilst the Marshalls were a family of musicians/music teachers/music sellers closely associated with the Holywell Music Room (and other music rooms in Oxford), Christ Church Cathedral and All Saints Church on the High Street. One of the Marshall sons (Francis James) married one of the Musgrove daughters (Ann) at St Cross (Holywell) in 1836. Whilst I know quite a bit about each family in the 19th century, I'm keen to learn more about both in the 17th and 18th centuries ...and would be very pleased to share information. I plan to be in Oxford until about July 2018, but will of course be on email after this date.
