PERRY 19c Banbury

Notes: My Great Grandfather, Charles Leonard PERRY (Born 9 Feb 1862, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England) left the UK possibly late 1800s early 1900s and settled in Australia. His father, Peter James PERRY (Born 1836, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England) ran Perry's Nursery in Banbury. Following Peter's death (23 Jan 1881) his wife Alice (nee RODWAY) ran the business. 1881 census notes Charles as a nurseryman - assists mother. Charles married Bessie PAGE on 10 Nov 1884 and had one child, Charles Leonard PERRY (Born 1885). They divorced in 1902. I am interested in information about Perry's Nursery which was situated on Oxford Road, Banbury and tracing Peter PERRY's lineage. Peter's parents were Thomas PERRY (Born 1798; Died 11 Oct 1875) and Mary Ann (nee BUDD; Born 1798; Died 27 Mar 1858). Also of interest is information about when and why Charles left England for Australia. A possible reason is that his Catholic family disapproved of his separation from wife Bessie.
