CURTIS | Any | Great Bourton and surrounding area | OXF |
Notes: Have traced back to 1800 William Curtis born 1800 give or take 2 years in Little Bourton he married Elizabeth Hazelwood of Wroxton. Most of the Curtis families seemed to have remained in the area until around 1900 when some moved to Warwickshire and Birmingham areas. The Neville family seem to be prevalent by marriage and Lucy Neville married a Curtis but died in Littlemore Asylum. Any one who knows anything else or can point me in the direction of William Curtis's parents. William was an agricultural worker so may have had parents who moved to the county for work.
