LAWRENCE | <1850 | Britwell Baldwin, Milton, Appleford | OXF |
Notes: My grandfather x 4, Stephen Lawrence of Aldworth, was baptised in St. Blaise Church Milton in 1741. He married Catherine Selstone on 13 March 1768 in St. Mary Long Wittenham. Stephen's grandson, Richard Lawrence b, 16 Feb.1808 in Brightwell Baldwin, died in Portsea in 1891. He appears in 1851 Census in Portsea- I believe that Richard and possibly other family members moved to Portsmouth to join the navy just prior to 1830. The exception was John Lawrence b, Brightwell 1812 and living in Watlington in 1861.

STANROYD | 18C | Burford | OXF |
Notes: I have traced the Feldon name back to Daniel (born about 1733). The first reference to him was an ad in the Oxford Journal in 1763, advertising his business as a tailor and robemaker but, I suspect, he was born out of the county. He was married to Lydia and had their first child in 1768. Possible he was also married to a Susannah Carpenter before this with whom he was subject to a settlement order in 1755 (from Hampton in Arden, Warwickshire although living in the parish of St Mary Magdalene, Oxford).

DULLEY | Any | Any | OXF |
Notes: The earliest definitive name is Robert Dully who married Ane (sic) Filbey in Kirtlington in 1570, although there is an Austen Doylye who died in Kirtlington in 1560 and could have been Robert's father or brother. From Oxfordshire the family moved to Berkshire and Buckinghamshire before going north to Wellingborough and south to London, Surrey and Norfolk. Subsequently, of course, they have moved to many places around the world. I have been detailing all known Dulleys in England and am currently (2020) researching those who moved to Australia.
One-Name Study ons Thelma is conducting a one-name study of the DULLEY surname, registered with the Guild of One-Name Studies.

JEWSTER | 1722 | Lyneham | OXF |
Notes: I have traced a member of my family going back 5 generations to 1722 for a George JEWSTER born 1722 (spelt in many different formats as above). George married Ann Webb born 1781 and they had three children, John, Hannah and George or Hans Georgen. My Heritage is trying to tie my ancestors with a Prussian connection. After finding out the above information, my feeling that they used the name Hans indicates that there may be a Prussian connection.
