Notes: I am researching the family of Philip Cox and Mary Goodwill who married in St. Peter in the East in 1776. Their children, James, William and my ancestor Philip were christened in St. Aldate in 1777, 1778 and 1779 respectively. The parents were not recorded from the parish where they married and don`t appear in census or death records thereafter. Son Philip married Rachel Minchin, daughter of William Minchin (originally of Great Barrington) and Ann Bryan, in 1799 in Northmoor and eventually moved to London, England where he kept the royal tennis court at the Haymarket. Son James Cox married Rachel`s sister Elizabeth. Any information relating to ancestors or descendants would be of interest.
