Notes: My branch of the Blake family seem to have started in the Blewbury / Upton / Chosley area. This was in Berkshire, they were mostly agricultural workers on many of the larger farms in that area. I am still only just getting started in this part of my tree and although I have several stories I still have to verify them. My Grandfather Percy Alfred BLAKE moved into Headington where he met and married my grandmother Daisy Sophia MORRIS. Percy started work after the 1st WW with Lord Nuffield, we think working in the bike shop and then fixing Lord Nuffield's private cars while working at the car factory in Cowley. Franzmann /Fransman. This part of the family I have traced back to 1866 when Charles FRANZMANN was married in St Luke,London. He gave his place of birth as Prussia. Later family members changed their name to FRANSMAN. I have not yet been able to find other living descendants of Charles and Jane. This part of the family lived mostly in London and around Southend-on-sea.
