Subsequent descendants held senior roles within the Bank of England, HEIC. Name came originally from the Knights of Westmorland - De Halhevede, where the name still remains as HALHEAD. When tracing family lines, HALHED is predominantly Banbury family based and Halhead is Westmorland.
