Notes: Searching for back information on Thomas Wilsdon, who emigrates to Canada in 1821 or earlier. He seems to have brought a family with him, including wife Elizabeth, who appears to have been born in the mid 1780s. Children's names included Temperance, Elenor, Mary Ann or Maryann and Thomas Jr, thought to have been born in 1810. Mary Ann is estimated to have been born about 1809, as she dies at Harbour Grace in 1822 at the age of 13. Family lore records Thomas' birth at Oxfordshire or possibly Wiltshire. No birth date is given. Thomas Wilsdon is first evidenced in Canada at Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, baptizing two children, Elizabeth and William at the Anglican Church there. Thomas is found in Sydney Nova Scotia at the end of the 1820s. The younger Thomas marries at this place in the 1830s. We have no actual evidence that the two Thomas' are related, although it has been assumed that they are father and son. That would be important to know for certain. Also, for the older Thomas, nothing is known of his birth and death dates or whereabouts, which causes doubt. Also, the names of the children born in England.
