GOLDING 1910 - 1970 Banbury, Oxford, Kidlington, Long Hanborough

Notes: Harold James Golding and his brother Albert John Golding were Kentish-Guernésiais men from Gillingham in Kent. They both served in the First World War as military police, then they moved to the Banbury area of Oxfordshire and met their wives (Mildred Emma Butler & Bessie Gertrude Whitehead respectively). These men were police constables for many decades in the northern Cotswolds, going over the border at times with Gloucestershire. They both married into important policing families: the Cogginses and the Whiteheads.
